I know I'd commented on this some many months before (maybe even years, not sure how long it'd been up) but I wanted to again tell you that this is by far the best work of Sage Gorion that I've ever seen. All your artwork, in fact, brings such a classic epic-fantasy storytelling feeling, with that subdued color of realism in portraits, but this piece of yours is my favorite.
(hmm if I only knew where the original file was lying around... xD)
I suppose the mod maker thought, that it was official BG artwork and therefor free to use (since the picture also appeared in the forgotten realms wiki entry for Gorion or because it's the second google picture entry for Gorion). Because people think that's how it is. You should really start adding watermarks to your pictures, you know?
BTW, I reported the mod, let's see what this will bring.
And you're right... I should probably start adding watermarks... but someone took my name [link] and officially registered it (even though I own artastrophe.com; small good that did me xD), so I can't © anything "artastrophe" since that's not me. Even though I've had that username with a Yahoo account since at least 2002... but I never registered/trademarked it I guess... ugh I don't know; I hate all this legal stuff. xD I guess I could use my real name, but I want to keep my fan stuff separate... and I don't want to give up this username just cuz someone stole it, boo. T___T So then I do nothing and then whine when stuff like this happens. hahaa sorry... but thank you again for looking out for me!!
Watermaking doesn't mean, that you have to put your name on it. I put my homepagelink on my drawings for example.
On the other hand, if someone copyrighted your artist alias, you should sooner or later change it. At least when you want to make money with your art (I'm sure the other person can sue you when you make money under their name, but that's just specualtion).
